Research integrity is the cornerstone of scientific and technological innovation, and maintaining and practicing it at all times is essential for everyone involved in academic research, writing and publishing. As an important carrier to display scientific research results, Clean Coal Technology will adhere to the maintenance and promotion of scientific research integrity and adhere to high standards of publishing ethics. Below we list some of the principles and principles of publishing ethics that are important to the journal for the consideration of contributors.
(1) The author's responsibility
The author is obliged to show that the paper is the original research work (except for the review) and does not contain any forgery, deception or plagiarism. The paper does not involve state secrets and does not involve any infringement issues related to intellectual property rights. Ensure that no papers are submitted and that their contents have not been published in any other journal or media in any other language. Promise not to submit to other publications before receiving the rejection notice from the editorial department.
The citation sources of the cited documents are clearly indicated and listed in the way of reference literature description. List the organizations and individuals who provided scientific funding and advice for the paper. Respect the revision suggestions of reviewers and editors. Agree that after the submission of the manuscript is published, the distribution right is not exclusively authorized to the editorial department of Clean Coal Technology.
Plagiarized:
This journal tested the plagiarism rate of articles through the China National Knowledge Network academic misconduct paper review system, and the repetition rate of published manuscripts was less than 15%.
The author must avoid the following academic misconduct:
1. Two votes for one draft
(1) The "one draft and two drafts" in this statement mainly means that although there may be some differences in the expression or narration of the text, the two articles involved in the theory, main experimental data and charts are the same, or the core content of the article is the same.
Contributions include those published in officially published conference proceedings and journals in other languages. It does not include contributions that have been published in a briefing or preliminary report in one journal and have transferred the full text of further research to another journal. If the authors of the above-mentioned manuscripts want to submit repeated contributions, they should explain to the relevant editorial department.
(2) If the manuscript is received by the editorial department, it indicates that the manuscript is in the process of processing, if you want to transfer to other journals, you should contact the editorial department in advance and obtain consent.
(3) If the editorial department considers that there is a suspicion of two drafts of a manuscript, it will carefully collect relevant data and notify the author after careful verification, and ask the author to explain before making a decision. In case of disagreement between the editorial department and the author, the superior competent department or relevant authority shall conduct the final arbitration.
(4) Once a draft is confirmed, the author's unit, name and notice of withdrawal of the paper will be published in this journal at an appropriate date; This event will be notified to the author's work unit and other scientific and technical journals in the field.
2. Plagiarism
Plagiarism is when an author deliberately uses the work of others without the consent of the originator, without citing or acknowledging the work. Plagiarism involves the direct reproduction and adaptation of the work of others and may involve data, words, sentences, paragraphs, ideas and concepts. We will not tolerate any plagiarism.
3. Collaboration/authorship
Authorship is indicated to ensure that those who contributed to the study are recognized and that they are responsible for the study. Authors should be limited to those who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of reported studies, and significant contributors must be listed as co-authors. The author must obtain the authorization and consent of the co-author before submitting the paper.
4. Research fraud
Research falsification is when data or conclusions are not derived from experiments or studies, but are falsified by authors. Under no circumstances should researchers lie.
(2) Responsibility of reviewers
1. Ensure scientific and accurate review of manuscripts, and make objective and fair evaluation. Use their own professional knowledge and ability to review the innovation, science and practicality of the manuscript; Provide fair evaluation on whether the research method is appropriate, whether the research design is reasonable, whether the results and conclusions are accurate, and whether there are leaks, so as to help editors judge the choice of manuscripts; In order to help the author improve the quality of the paper, the author will put forward detailed suggestions on the problems existing in the paper.
2. Respect the author's research results and avoid manuscripts with interest. The review of the manuscript is only academic evaluation, do not make personal evaluation and personal attacks. Submission selection is not affected by race, gender, religion, belief, status, seniority and authority of contributors, who must clearly state their views with sufficient arguments and facts.
3. Fill in the review comments on the reviewed manuscripts on time, and give feedback to the editorial department within the specified time. If it is not completed on time, the editorial department should be informed in time so that the manuscript can be sent to other reviewers.
4. Reviewers should indicate relevant published works that have not yet been cited.
5. Keep the reviewed manuscripts strictly confidential, do not circulate or discuss to others, and do not use or publish the data, views or conclusions of the reviewed manuscripts.
6. All review comments and information must be kept confidential and shall not be used for personal purposes.
(3) Editor's responsibility
1. The editor shall strictly implement the relevant national laws and regulations, abide by the ethics and norms of academic publishing, and maintain the integrity of scientific research. Handle all incoming manuscripts in a timely and fair manner to ensure that the editor's manuscripts are published in high quality and on time.
2. Editors must ensure that each manuscript is initially evaluated for originality, using appropriate software. After this testing, the document is forwarded to two reviewers for single-blind peer review, who will make specific recommendations for acceptance, rejection, or revision.
3, The editor must ensure that every article accepted by the Journal is reviewed for intellectual content, regardless of the author's gender, race, religion, nationality, etc.
4. Respect the author's research results and the opinions of reviewers. Keep the authenticity of the review records, and keep the information of the review and revision confidential. The editors and editorial staff shall not disclose any information about the submission of the paper to others, except as appropriate to provide the corresponding authors, reviewers, and members of the editorial Board with the required information.
5. Select manuscripts impartially, and accept or reject articles only on the basis of their originality, importance, clarity, and conformity with the purpose and scope of the journal.
6. Encourage academic contention, and have the obligation to reply to the author's different views on the reviewer's opinions.
7. Have the obligation to investigate and communicate with academic misconduct, and take effective measures in case of academic ethics appeals for submission of papers or publication of articles. Corrections, clarifications, retractions or apologies should be made public in a timely manner if necessary. Editors have an obligation to hold authors and reviewers accountable for misconduct.
8. The editor shall protect the information of the author's contribution; Protect the identity information of reviewers and other relevant personnel in the editorial department during the blind review process.
(IV) Retraction and Correction
1. Editors should consider retracting a publication in the following circumstances: when there is clear evidence that inappropriate behavior (such as data fabrication) or honest errors (such as misjudgment or experimental error) have rendered the research results unreliable; when the research results have previously been published elsewhere without appropriate cross-referencing, permission, or justification (i.e., duplicate publication); when plagiarism is involved; when unethical research is reported.
2. A retraction notice should be linked to the retracted article as much as possible (i.e., all electronic versions); it should clearly identify the retracted article (e.g., by including its title and authors in the retraction title); it should be promptly published to minimize the harmful impact of misleading publications.
3. Editors should consider issuing corrections in the following circumstances: when a small portion of a reliable publication has been proven to be misleading (especially due to honest errors); when there are inaccuracies in the author/contributor list (i.e., qualified authors are omitted or individuals who do not meet copyright requirements are included).
