Cold model of gas-solid two-phase flow characteristics in fixed bed slagging gasifier

Abstract
In order to study the effect of gasifier nozzle jet speed and installation angle of fixed bed slagging gasifier on the flow field in furnace,a cold model experimental platform of the fixed bed slagging gasifier was set up,and Fluent software was combined to simulate the process of gasifier.The results show that with the increase of gas injecting velocity,the penetration distance of the gas inside the material increases.The depth of jet,the radial depth of recirculation zone and the height of recirculation zone decrease continuously with the increase of dipping angle.The optimized dipping angle of the nozzle is 5°-10°achieving the suitable depth of penetration of the jet in horizontal direction inside the material layer and best furnace flow field distribution.With the continuous increase of nozzle tangent angle,the impact of the nozzle hedge collision becomes smaller,and the air flow gradually shifts from the radial region,as well the gas distribution of nozzle axis cross section gradually decreases; while the penetration depth of material jet fluctuates. Comprehensive consideration of various factors,the largest horizontal jet penetration depth inside the material layer and best furnace flow field distribution are obtained with 5° dipping and then 10° rotation of the nozzle.
